Shipping

How long will it take to arrive?

Most US orders arrive within about one week.

We prepare and inspect your tumbler in our Niigata workshop (usually 2–3 business days), then ship by UPS. Delivery to the US typically takes 3–4 days from there.

Every order ships with UPS tracking, so you'll know exactly where it is.

How much is shipping?

Free worldwide shipping on orders over $200. Below that, shipping is a flat $25 — no matter where you are.

Every order ships from Japan by UPS with tracking included. For US orders, import duties and customs fees are included too.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Every order ships with UPS, and we'll email you a tracking number as soon as it leaves our workshop in Japan.

Do you offer pair sets or bundle sales for two items?

Yes, we do offer pair sets. We have special paulownia wood boxes available for pairs, allowing us to package two items together in one box with gift wrapping. These sets make perfect gifts for parents or wedding celebrations.

Duties and taxes

Are duties and taxes included in the price?

US orders: Yes. We pay the import duties and customs fees for every order shipped to the United States. The price at checkout is the final price — nothing more to pay on delivery.

Other countries: No. The price covers the product and shipping. Import duties, taxes and customs fees are set by your country, and the carrier collects them on delivery.

How much are customs fees outside the US?

It depends on your country — rates are set there, not by us. In the EU, for example, VAT alone runs 17–27% of the order value, plus a customs handling fee. If you want an exact figure before ordering, your local customs office can tell you.

I received a bill from the courier after my package arrived. What is it for?

If your order shipped outside the United States, this bill is for customs duties, import taxes and/or clearance fees charged by your country. When you buy from abroad, you become the importer, so the recipient pays these on delivery.

US orders should never receive this bill — we pay it. If one arrives anyway, please contact us and we'll take care of it.

Care

Can the color come off?

Not the way paint does — there's no coating to peel. The color is a thin oxide layer on the metal, so it won't fade in sunlight. A deep scratch will change the color in that spot.

How do I clean it?

Mild dish soap and a soft sponge. No abrasive pads, no scouring powder, and not in the dishwasher.

Coffee and tea will stain the inside over time, like any cup. Soak it in diluted liquid bleach (Clorox or similar) and it comes back clean.
